Seriously, what's the deal with 944's?
I know two things:
A) Non-Jalops "Unreliable as fuck don't buy"
B) Kick-ass club racing series.
What?

Thank you! It's not an original color as far as I'm aware the car used to be black but it doesn't bother me!

That blue is fantastic. Also the year/mileages being the same is amusing as well. Looks super clean and I am jealous. Are you going to do an oppo review?

914's are the unreliable as fuck ones.
944s are probably the best buy for a front-engined porsche. The 928 has much better performance... but a lot more problems.
From what I've seen, as long as you're ready to replace the water pump and power steering, the 944 is actually a pretty great ride. It's on the faster side of the lightweight-80sor90s-independent suspension-optionalconvertible-RWD under$5000-coupe-spectrum:
Reliable - MR2- > Miata -> 280ZX -> 240SX -> TR-7 -> Dodge Daytona -> 944 -> Fast
^ It looks something like that. There's a surprising amount of cars from that era that are all very similar.

will do! I was a junior member before since I owned a project 924 (still technically own it) but liked that car and wanted more performance.

Nice find, and it looks pretty sharp! I followed a guy in New York who was building up a 944 and, while he clearly loved his car and it was clearly gorgeous, I was thoroughly convinced never to buy one. Good luck!
